Extraordinary Ministers of Holy Communion assist the priests and deacons in the distribution of the Precious Body and Blood of Jesus Christ during Eucharistic liturgies.

They are to conduct this ministry with dignity and respect for the Real Presence, and allow Holy Communion to open their lives to the transformative power of Jesus Christ.

Parish members who have received the Sacrament of Confirmation and are in good standing as practicing Catholics are invited to participate in this very special ministry. Those who are newly Confirmed are especially asked to consider sharing your time and talent to become a Lector.

Participants indicate their preferred Mass time and are scheduled as such for several months at a time. Parish guidelines ask that Extraordinary Ministers of Holy Communion get a replacement minister if they are unable to attend their scheduled Mass time.

Training is provided.
