The Ministry of Lector is very important!  As the assembly listens to your voice they begin to more fully appreciate the written Word of God. This is especially true if you have spent some time meditating in prayer and preparing to proclaim the Readings.

We ask that you live the Word and be a good example by actively participating in the Mass (even when you are not the Lector!)

Parishioners who have received the Sacrament of Confirmation and are in good standing as practicing Catholics are invited to participate in this ministry.  Those who are newly Confirmed are especially asked to consider sharing your time and talent to become a Lector.

Lectors are scheduled according to the Mass time they prefer.  Lectors will be asked to sign up for special liturgical celebrations such as Holy Days and at special prayer services.

Training is provided.
