Planning meetings are held bi-monthly on the 2nd Wednesday of the month at 6:30 pm in the Parlor.
Cool Congregations is a religious response to the effects of global warming. This ministry focuses on educating parishioners on sustainability in our parishes and in our homes, evaluating our own carbon "footprint" and becoming good stewards of the earth.

The Johnson County CROP HUNGER WALK happens annually on a Sunday in April.
When you join in this walk you are helping to end HUNGER here in Johnson County and around the world. Up to 25% of the money raised in a CROP HUNGER WALK supports hunger-fighting here in Johnson County. In previous years, CROP WALKERS have raised over 15 million dollars to assist hungry people around the world, providing food and other essentials to those recovering from disasters, as well as tools and training to communities as they seek to establish food security for themselves in places like Guatemala, Indonesia, Haiti, Cambodia, Kenya and more.
Watch for information in the Sunday Bulletin in the month of March.

Free Lunch. Commission members coordinate a balanced Free Lunch meal on the third Wednesday of the month, every other month. Volunteers are needed to provide food items as well as prepare, serve, and clean up. Sign-up is available on the Narthex bulletin board beginning 3 weeks early to allow ample time to volunteer. Coordinators make reminder phone calls to the volunteers. Food donations are accepted at the church kitchen the Tuesday before the lunch from 7:30am until 8:30pm. Coordinators then pick up the food on Wednesday morning and deliver to the Wesley House for preparation and serving.
